Teacher Testing Platform
UI/UX, Education Design, Web DesignThe Teacher Testing platform was a freelance UI/UX web design project for Carolina Paz-Giraldo, an Educator and Project manager. Carolina wanted to design a testing platform for her students that she taught. She wanted a centralized platform where her students can take tests that incorporate listening, reading comprehension, speaking and writing.
Current Platform Example
Carolina shared clips of the current testing platform that exists and pointed out how outdated, confusing and clunky the UI is. Students and teachers have a hard time navigatin this platform and progress is hard to see.
Rough Sketches
Carolina she wanted to focus on four main components for the platform: Listening, Writing, Speaking and Reading portions. She wanted a clear navigation, timer and overview of each test component. She then emphasized on wanting a feature that lets students bookmark and come back to a section if needed.
High-Fidelity Mockups
The first section features is a Registration page, once the student has an account, they can log in. They are then directed to an overview of the exam. The top-handside book mark allows students to bookmark a section to come back to later if they need. The navigation sidebar helps students keep track of the bookmarks as well.
